How do I fix "receiving reported error (0x800300FD)"

For the last day, I have been getting this error message, and can't receive
any email. This is happening to both email accounts I have in Outlook. Any
idea about what may be wrong? I haven't changed anything in the
accounts/setup.
 
is it prompting you for your log in information, or just a send/recieve error?

my outlook just started not recognizing my log in/password information.
trying to figure out the issue.
 
Yesterday, emails started coming in and I received the last several days of
messages. Everything is working now. I didn't do anything to the program,
log in, etc. This has happened before, but in the past the problem didn't
last so long, and the error message was different. Oh well...

which involves creation of another profile etc, which I prefer to avoid unless there is no other option.
