How do I fix my Outlook.ost to be used rather than Outlook0.ost

When setting up my Outlook profile my system will not let me use Outlook.ost
it only works with Outlook0.ost and I have this synchronization problem error
80004005-501-4B9-560 when I run the Scan ost utility
 
Where did your Outlook.OST file come from? If it's from another machine or
profile on this machine it won't work since OSTs are tied to specific MAPI
profile (if I remember correctly)
