how do i fix connection when my ODBC connection has failed in the.

I have an ODBC connection from my CAPP (computer aided process planning)
database to my ACCESS database (2002 version) which allows me to run queries
of the information stored in CAPP. It is an Oracle database. I had another
version of Oracle -9.2.1 installed as well to run a different new program,
and IT thought that may have affected my ODBC connection with CAPP. When i
try to run a query i get the following message:

ODBC -- connection to 'capprd02' failed

The IT support desk cannot fix it and our IT dept. can't either. I know it's
happened before and the IT people here at that time fixed it. I just don't
know how to fix it.

Thanks.

The best way I've found to repair broken ODBC problems is simply to delete
the DSN and re-create it. It only takes a minute or two and solves the
problem more than 95% of the time. If it can't be re-created, the problem is
generally that IT has been diddling with permissions and caused the problem
in the first place.
