How do I find non-ASCII characters hidden in text?

I am trying to post a large amount of Word-created text into an online form
which will not accept it because it contains non-ASCII characters. I cannot
see any. There is a lot of text to retype. How do I find the non-ASCII
characters?
 
Try saving the Word file as text (.txt), then copying from that.
