how do I find my lost contacts in outlook

I lost my contacts in Outlook, how can I get them back, what are the steps
 
We could not know the steps without your telling us the steps you used to
lose them and in what version of Outlook.
If you simply deleted them, they would be in the Deleted Items folder.
