Start typing! Sorry. That is why Word asks if you want to save changes when
it shuts down normally. If your computer crashed, and you have a recent
version of Word, the last saved temporary version will pop up when you start
Word (if you have that option enabled).

If by 'erased' you mean you have deleted all the text it contains, and you
have not yet closed the document, then undo - CTRL+Z will undelete the text.
If you have closed the document, it is gone.
