where will i find an unsaved word document opened from an e-mail

where will i find an unsaved word document opened from an e-mail,

I spent 5 hours working on a document opened from an attachment, but thought
I had saved it, but I had not.

Can the amendments be brought back from a "temporary file"

You should never open Word attachments directly from e-mail. If you didn't
save your work, the document is still attached to the e-mail in the
condition it was delivered. - however if you did save it, it *may* be
possible to recover your changes. See
