I just got a new computer and I need to tranfer my old email messages from my
last computer to my new one. How do I do that?

You can archive all of the data on your old machine to .pst files. If you go
in outlook and go to File/Archive, and save it somewhere on your desktop.
Then copy/load the archive/archives onto the new machine.

Can I archive individual folders separately, so that my archive folder won't
be so big that I will not be able to copy it?

Your data is likely to already be in a .PST file, which you can then just
copy to your new computer and open in Outlook via File | Open (make sure the
file is not marked read-only before you try to open it).
