How do I export custom fields into excel?

I want to export my Outlook contacts into excel, but it doesn't seem to export the custom fields I've added. When I look at map fields, it only has the standard ones. Any idea how to include the custom fields?

If you only want to export the custom data to excel, you can do this by
creating a custom view and copying the selected items to an excel
spreadsheet.
You can define a new view or customize an existing view. be sure it is in
table format. (check you Outlook HELP for info on custom views)

In the table format, choose the standard contact fields you need from
"frequently used fields and the appropriate custom fields from the form or
user-defined fields option.)
After you have selected the fields you want and have them in the right
order, your view should look very similar to an excel spreadsheet. Simply
choose the contacts you want, copy to the clipboard (edit|copy or CNTL C),
then paste (edit|paste or CNTL V) into an excel spreadsheet and manipulate
as needed.

THANK YOU Marianne!

I was going crazy trying to figure this out!

Of course... this should be integrated into the product's export process...
but at least now I have a temporary fix.
