How do I expand a drop down list beyond 25 entries?

I am attempting to create a drop down list in Word, but need to enter more
than the 25 allowed entries. Is there a way to change the settings and place
more than 25 items in the pull down? Thanks.

but as that involves the use of a userform, you should consider whether that
is not the best thing to be using in the first place.
