The ability to boot first from your CD ROM drive is set in your computers
BIOS.
This procedure of how to get into the BIOS to set the boot order differs
from PC to PC.
See the manuals of your PC/Motherboard/BIOS about how to do this.
Or go to the vendors website for more information if it was purchased as
complete system
Also watch the screen at boot time it may tell you to press a key to enter
"setup" or words to that effect or when you boot your PC just hold down a
key to force a keyboard error - most PCs then display an error message
giving you the option of continuing or entering the BIOS/setup.

.
Go into your bios and set the boot order to boot from CD
first. Then save and exit and put the windows cd in the
drive and when the message appears "press any button to
boot from CD" press any button. Let setup load and
windows will ask you whitch drive you want to install on
and give you the opportunity to format the drive.

you need to restart your pc then keep pressing the delete button until u see
a screen with a menu at the top.use your arrow key to select "boot" and then
choose the cdrom as the first boot device then exit and save changes

This might be how it is on your system, but 'delete' is /not/ the universal
BIOS entry key. Please don't give false information.

Thank you

It is BIOS and vendor dependent.
You should be careful about making definite statements that are not entirely
accurate.
It would be better to point the original poster at their manuals and
OEM/vendor website for specific hardware information.

You know your surname really isn't helping me stick to my diet! Brannigan's
are a brand of crisps (chips) here in the UK and, right now, I have a
hankering for smoked ham and pickle flavour!

I know :) - There is also Brannigan Beer Nuts - which are fantastic salted
peanuts with their skins still on in rock salt.
It is also as chain of bars/restaurants in the UK.

Now I'm hungry

LOL!! Don't think we get the beer nuts over here. I had them when I was in
the US and I much prefer them to KP dry roasted.

Brannigans Beer Nuts are a product of KP Foods (UK) and are available in the
UK - but you have to look really hard for them.
KP Nuts are about to have a major UK relaunch see http://www.kpnuts.com
(Useless late evening fact)

D'OH!! And here was I assuming that all MS employees that frequented these
groups were in the US! That'll teach me! You must live somewhere near
Reading as I assume that's where the UK arm of MS is still based?
