How do I enable indexing in Outlook 2007 Beta

I cannot search my email messages since I started using Outlook 2007 Beta.
Under Tools, Options, Search Options, Indexing - The words "Index messages in
these data files" are grayed out and I cannot check "Personal Folders or
Archive Folders. I can check all other boxes. Consequently, I cannot search
for a message I might have saved
