how do i enable files to show what file type they are in the name

how would i get a file to appear as blah_blah_blah.txt instead of
blah_blah_blah ??
 
Sounds like you need to open my computer, tools, folder options, view tab,
un-check the box for "Hide extensions for known file types" ...
Hope this helps, blah_blah_blah...
