Only wav can be embedded. For non-wav format, you will need to convert them
into wav to be embedded into PowerPoint.
Check this out on embedding: http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00155.htm
For playing on TV, you will need to record your presentation using programs
such as Camtasia.
Then, convert the movie to MPEG2 file, which is needed for a
video DVD.
Next, import the video into a DVD authoring program to create
the DVD menu and setup.
I need to know if I will be able to do this before I try to use the
"conversion software" that I just downloaded for free from CNET. I think the
songs are already a wav file.
Check the file extension to see if it is .wav
If it is a wav, you can embed it.
Follow what John said on changing the setting, then re-insert your wav file.

I need to do this. I have worked for many weeks on this PPT and I want to
share it with many people on a DVD. I really need step-by-step instructions.
Where can I get that? I am trying to convert the MP3 to WAV files but I am
having trouble downloading the conversion software right now. HELP!!
Have you tried CDex?
Check out how to convert Mp3 to Wav here, under "Quick Fix for MP3 Sounds". http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00155.htm
