IE saves your history for a variety of reasons, none of
which I use. However, this history is matched against
your showing links to see if you've been there or not.
So, if you clear the history, then refresh the page, the
links will return to their original color, because your
computer has now "forgotten" that you went there. You do
this from Tools | Internet Options | Delete History.
in IE6 goto: Tools > internet options > Colors
From there in the right box named 'links' set
your 'visited & unvisited' colors the same color and
you'll never have to delete history or refresh. all your
links will stay the same color no matter how many times
you click on it. set your hover color to a color you like
and also that one will stay the same.
