Edit text in footer for individual pages

I need to make changes to my document on certain pages, but I need to text in
the footer to change for only that particular page, and not for the entire
document. Can it be done in Word and how can I achieve this?

Generally you would need a section break to change the contents of the
header. For more on headers, footers, and section breaks, see
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/HeaderFooter.htm and
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/NumberingFrontMatter.htm and
http://word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/WorkWithSections.htm.

On the other hand, you may not need section breaks, assuming that the header
should reflect text that is on the current page. In that case, you could
make use of a STYLEREF field. See
http://sbarnhill.mvps.org/WordFAQs/StyleRef.htm.
