How do I save a scanned document that I want to be shared so that others can
do some editing to it?

You're asking in the wrong place. This newsgroup is for Microsoft
Access database questions.

But a scanned document IS A PICTURE - it's black and white dots, which
(to a human) look like letters. Unless you use character-recognition
software, it is not text and it is not editable. Many scanners come
with such software; check your documentation.

That will depend on the scanner and software associated with it. Most
modern scanners come with a OCR (Optical Character Recognition) software
that will change the image into text. Be aware that even the best of them
have problems figuring out complex pages and the worse are not all that
good.
