The colors you see in the highlight tool are all you get. But you can
apply shading (in Format > Borders and Shading) in thousands of
colors.
See my reply just a few minutes ago in this group to the post titled
"How do i set up a Style in Word 2003 that uses Highlight?" You can
define as many character styles as you like, each with a different
color, and you can assign keyboard shortcuts to them to make them
easier to apply.
