How do I download a copy of my website from the server

I have FP 2002. I lost my copy of my website due to a viris. I'm downloaded
a new copy from the web server. I did this by opening the website and
copying all the files. However, now when I open it the web from the saved
copy, all I get is the template page with the horizontal and vertical
borders. The rest of the page is blank, except when I choose to view it in
my web browser, then its all there. I need to edit the web and re-upload it.
How do I get an editable page to display when I open the web?

What do you mean by "copying all files"? You need to publish from your
remote web server to your local machine.

If the live/remote server has the FP extensions, then you need to open the site directly in FP via
File Menu | Open Web / Site and then select File Menu | Publish Web / Site to get a copy back on
your local machine.

You don't "copy" back to the computer, you "publish" back. If you did
file copy, delete it all and publish back. In other words, just do the
opposite on what you normally do to upload to the server.

Open the site "Live" and Publish the site (back) to your computer (from) the
web server.

The reverse of what you normally do - Publishing to the web server.
