What happen when you tried?.
Any error messages or you are losing connection?.
Uninstall the old version if you have one and download the newer one from
the link below: http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx
Also do you have Anti-virus Installed, turn the AV OFF when you do the
installation.
