How do I do a Tiff decompression?

I received a downloaded file that comes up in my Word as "need QuickTime and
Tiff decompression to read. How and where do I get that software?

Whatever it is you downloaded, I don't think it is a file type that Word
can open.

Hi Kansas,

You may not be able to do that in Word. That message comes up when a Word document created on a Mac with graphics (or other photo
apps that used JPEG compression on certain graphic file types before inserting the picture in Word) is brought in to open the
graphic in Word in Windows.
