How do I do a system Recovery on Windows XP2 Home Edition with SP2

I have been trying to find out how to do a system recovery on my Dell laptop
with Windows XP Home Edition with Service Pack 2. I don't have the CD's and
Iv'e done it once before without the CD's but I cannot remember and I think
everything has changed since I downloaded SP2. I don't want to do a system
restore, and I have no idea what the "Automated System Recoevery" or
"Recovery Console" options are or do, but neither of them sound like what i'm
looking for. I just want to return my system to the original operating
system, like any other system recovery option on any other computer I've
used. Can anyone help?

Start the computer using the manufacturer supplied restoration media.
