How do I disable "safely remove Hardware" icon on tak bar ?

I just installed a zip 250 USB drive, it works but there
is an "safely remove Hardware" icon in my task bar next
to my clock. I don't plan on taking my zip drive any
where so I want to remove/disable the icon. Does anyone
know how ?
 
Right-click on your taskbar and choose properties - click the Customize
button and set it to Always Hide.
