How do I delete the long line I created?

It is not a shape or drawing. I used the - - - enter shortcut and I can't
delete the long line it creates.

I tried backspace and delete but neither work, it only deletes the spaces
and words under and above it.

Thanks for your help.

There's nothing helpful there, all borders are as 'none'.

Put the cursor in the paragraph directly above that line.

Format - Borders and shading
