How do I delete the history links on the address field?

Whenever I type in the letter g in the address field, underneath it always shows previous websites I've visited that start with the letter g. I've deleted my history, temp folder from internet options. But some websites stay on my computer for some reason. How can I get rid of this problem?

That does work, but when it's still enable, typing in www.X, still brings up certain website that should be deleted. I'm on win xp. Any other ideas?

I have the same problem. Even after deleting my 'History'
whenever I type www.X selected websites are automatically
shown in the Address Bar matching X. Some are deleted,
but others remain for some reason.

Unfortunately for me, I can't disable autocomplete even
though I've unselected the Inline Autocomplete option
under Tools\Internet Options\Advanced\.

Any ideas are appreciated.

reinstall it. that didn't work. if anyone knows how to
fix this that'd be great.

It's your favorites that are appearing. I have the same
problem and can't work out how to stop the favorites
appearing.
