How do I delete "My Attachments" saved to the computer

There are a lot of unwanted "attachments" that I am trying to get rid of that
are saved to the computer. For example, if someone sends me a email that has
a photo or word document attached, it goes to a folder called "my
attachments." I am trying to delete the unwanted ones because they are
starting to pile up.

Do you mean delete the attachment from the message but keep the rest
of the message? If so, I haven't seen any way to do that.

If you mean delete the attachments after you extract them from the
messages, you should be able to delete them like any other files.

What email program are you using?
Vista's Windows Mail does not put attachments in a folder called "my
attachments".

There is a "my attachments" located in the "search shortcuts" section of
checking my emails. [Look in your inbox on the side where it saids
"folders."] In the search shortcuts box underneath all of my folders are also
"my photos." When I click on to my attachments, it shows all of the
attachments connected to the emails sent to me. For example, if someone
sends me a email with a word document attached to it, that word document will
show up in "my attachments." I click on download and it downloads that doc.
I dont know if I could delete the message and the attachment together. If
so, I dont know how it is done. I just would like to know how to delete the
actual (unwanted) attachment.
Mind you, I am not referring to deleting a regular email from my email
"inbox."

Windows Mail does not have a "My Attachments" folder.
You must be talking about some other email program.
I suggest you visit the forum that specializes in that email program.

I am using Yahoo. Yahoo has there own web page as does Verizon and AOL.
Otherwise I am not sure what you are asking. I am not that computer savvy.
Again, after I've logged on to my computer, I then go to check my emails
from Yahoo. On the right hand side of the place where my incoming email is
seen, there is a section that displays all of the (yahoo) folders that I have
created. When I scroll down, there is a section which shows "search
shortcuts." Underneath are the subtitles "My Photos and My Attachments," a
part of Yahoo's, not my feature. When I click on to "My Attachments" I see
all of the attachments sent via incoming or [my] outgoing email. It's
multiples of them as if it was a whole file in and of itself. How can I
delete those attachments located in that section?

Have you tried the Delete key?

This newsgroup deals with issues directly affecting the Windows Mail
program. We cannot provide advice for other email services, including
Yahoo webmail.

I don't have such a folder. However, I haven't seen any way to delete just
an
attachment in Windows Mail but keep the rest of the message, so you'll
probably have to delete the entire messages that have such an attachment.
