Do you mean an .oft file? Delete it in Windows Explorer as you would any other file.

I don't delete files through Windows Explorer. Could you please give me more
"how to" details?

When you created the template, you must have saved it to a folder on your
hard drive. Use Windows Explorer to browse to that folder, select the
template, then delete it.

1. Open Microsoft Explorer C: drive
2. On the left side of the window, there is a section called System Tasks.
Select search for files or folders. OR You may just select Search (look for
magnifying glass)
3. Select Documents (word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
4. Type "*.oft" in the All or part of the file name field (no quotation marks)
5. Select Search button
6. You will begin to see a list of templates you created. Click once on the
template to highlight it and click delete on your keyboard. That's it!

But how does one delete the actual icons that appear near the top of the
Outlook window for each email template? Thank you!

What view are you looking at? Do you really mean templates or are you
talking about the folder icon and folder name? (You can't remove the folder
names or icons.)

Hi
Clear the cache using the Manage Forms dialog (Tools | Options | Other |
Advanced Options | Custom Forms, then click Manage Forms).

I am also not sure how to delete a template I have created in Outlook Forms.
Any ideas?

did you create and save an OFT (template) or publish a custom form? If you
published a custom form you need to delete it using the manage forms
ialog - Tools, Options, Other, Advanced Options, Custom Forms, then click
Manage Forms.

if you saved it as a template, find it using windows explorer and delete.

#

Choose the "Start" button at the bottom left corner of your computer screen
to display the Start menu. Point to "All Programs," select "Accessories" and
click on "Windows Explorer." The Windows Explorer window will open onto your
desktop.
#
Step 2

Use the "Look in" drop-down list and file tree to locate the Outlook
template that you want to delete. By default, the templates are saved here:
C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates. But,
this may be different if you have saved your templates in another location.
#
Step 3

Click to select the Outlook 2007 template that you want to delete. The file
will become highlighted once it is selected.
#
Step 4

Press the "Delete" key on your keyboard to delete the selected template. A
confirmation dialog box will appear asking you to confirm that you want to
delete the selected template.
#
Step 5

Select the "Yes" button to confirm that you want to delete the selected
template. The confirmation dialog box will disappear and the template you
have selected will be deleted from your computer.

Tools > Customize

With the customize dialog box open, right click on the template icon and
select delete from the drop down menu.

I've built a template but would like it to open as a default every time i
open a message. it's too complicated to build it as a signature and won't
let me save it as a stationery default due to html etc. Any advice would be
much appreciated!
