How do I delete all field codes in a very large document?

I have numerous codes in my document that say "Error! Bookmark not defined."
When the field code is toggled, it says "private". I don't want any fields
in my document. Hiding the fields is not an option.

With field codes displayed, search for ^19 PRIVATE and replace with nothing.
