How do I delete all attachments from Sent Items in Outlook 2003?

I want to save all attachments in the sent items folder in Outlook 2003 to
the local disk and then have them deleted.

How can I do that?

Can you prevent Outlook 2003 from saving attachments with the Sent Items?
i.e. Save the mail but not the corresponding attachment.

You can use the ItemAdd event of the Sent Items folder. In that event loop
through the item´s Attachment list backwards, call each attachment´s
SaveAsFile method and then its Delete method.
