How do I delete a locked second page in word?

I have a word document that is 1 page long but a second page has attached
itself and I can't delete it.

When I try to delete it the curser jumps to the bottom of the first page and
starts to delete text from the letter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

You need to first have the passord, if any, that the document was originally
protected with. Then go to TOOLS>UNPROTECT DOCUMENT. That should do it.

You can delete the second page in word by using the following steps

On the ribbon select Page Lay Out. In the second section you will see "Page Setup" and to the right there is a small box with a downward pointed arrow, click it and the page setup box will open. Select the Lay Out tab. Next to "section start" there will be a drop down menu box, open it and select "even Page" then click OK and your second page will be gone.
