If its even possible....how do you delay a hyperlink from taking you to
another slide within the powerpoint. For example, I would like to be able to
link a slide to another slide within the document, but not have the hyperlink
take me to that slide (when clicked on) until some other animation takes
place. Can anyone help me?!

Instead of hyperlinking to the slide,
first, create a duplicate of the current slide. (You can either do a print
screen of the final preview when all the animations have been done, or remove
all the animations).
Re-order the duplicated slide so that it is placed BEFORE the slide that you
want to link to.
On the duplicated slide, add the animations that will be taking place.
Click Slide Show > Slide Transition. Under Advance slide, put a checkmark to
Automatically after. By doing so, the animations that you have added onto
that slide will take place, then advance to the next slide.
Now go back to the "current slide" mentioned earlier on.
On the current slide, have a hyperlink that links to the duplicated slide.

Feel free to holler back if you need more help.
