How do I date sort tasks in personal folders view in Outlook?

When I sort tasks by date in task pane, ok. But when I go to mail/personal
folders where calendar, tasks, and messages appear on one screen, tasks
always re-appear sorted latest first and I want earliest first.

What do you have selected for your view of tasks using the Tasks folder
view?

I click the triangle to show my preference, earliest first. But then when I
go to the personal folder pane where calendar, tasks, mail all appear the
tasks still show latest first, not earliest first.
