How do I create a pivot table ???

I am importing data into Excel and wish to use Access for reports.
This is an example of the data I am importing.
Me 177 Alg 1/1/03 496
Me 177 Eng 5/5/05 400
Me 177 Geo 2/12/03 696
Me 177 Gov 11/1/04 200
Me 177 Bio 1/1/03 775
You 224 Alg 1/1/03 496
You 224 Geo 2/12/03 696
You 224 Bio 2/12/03 500
Him 667 Gov 11/1/04 200
Him 667 Bio 11/1/04 200
A complete record would contain 5 lines and as you can see, some are only 3
or 2 lines. I will typically get over 4,500 entries. The second column is how
Me is identified. I need to find out who has taken Alg and who has not. I
have used Access for some time but never with Pivot Tables?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I guess that I'm not that familiar because I'm not sure what a "standard
table" is!
I have only used find duplicates query!
Would it be possible for you to enlighten me on these areas?
Thanks

Click on the menu Windows and select the first item on the list at the bottom.
Click on Queries of the Object list.
Click on the query menu New and select Crosstab Query Wizard.
