How do I create a month/year date input mask in Access?

I can't get input mask to let me create a month/year date; it will only make
a month/day/date not matter how I change the mask. Is there any way around
this?

An Access Date/Time field is not stored formatted: it's stored as a
double float count of days and fractions of a day (times) since
midnight, December 30, 1899. As such a Date/Time value corresponds to
a precise moment of time - NOT to an entire month. March 2005 isn't a
date - it's about thirty-one different ones! <g>

I'd suggest storing your month-year (credit card expiration maybe?)
data in a Text field instead with a 00/00 or (probably better) 00/0000
mask.
