There is no list option on the Data Menu or anywhere on the toolbar. My
question is how can i create a List range if there isnt a Create list option,
or Create List dialog box?

Hi,

You should look for Data->Validation menu.In the validation window,
choose list as validation criteria.

I might be looking at this from the extremely simple point of view, bu
if you type your list, one cell after another, Excel recognizes it as
list. By placing the heading in the first cell, the sort and filte
options work better.

Stacie,

What are you trying to use a list for?

If you want to make an easy reference to a range of data I woul
suggest using a named range. To make a named range highlight the range
hit ctrl+F3 then enter a name. I typically use that, much easier t
