I want to be able to transfer my spanish files from my house to the school so
I can continue to work on them at both places. The school doesn't have winzip
so there's no way for me to send a zip file. Also it has to be done over the
internet as I have no usb flash drives or anything. I just need to make all
the files into one file so I can upload that one file onto a website. Then
when i download it, i need to extract all the files.

One way is to right-click on the Desktop and use
New > Compressed (zipped) folder

Paste the files you want into the "folder." This "folder" is actually a zip
file that can be transferred as one file using ftp or email or whatever.

Method 1:
Don't worry about sending a zip file. XP can work with Zip files
(Extract/make/Show contents).

Method 2:
Make a Self Extracting Archive. Winzip have this option and this will
work on every PC.

Method 3:
Upload your file. (www.savefile.com)

You could easily use XP's inbuilt zip functionality. It is a bit limited
but should be more than sufficient for what you describe. Or you could
obtain one of the free ZIP utilities that are available for download. I
won't try to list them all. Just Google for "free zip utility" (without
the quotes) and pick one that suits your needs. I'm sure that you can
find one or more that create self-extracting archives which might be
preferable since schools usually don't want people installing software
on their computers.

What if the computers at school are running windows 2000 ?

I want to be able to send the files from home to school and from school to
home.
