Hi

Anyone know how to do a countif() that counts
cells containing a value.

e.g. count all values in range that
contain the word "director".

Likewise how do we do a sumif() function
that sums all cells in a range that contain
a particular word?

Sounds like an Excel question. If so, post in a newsgroup for Excel.

It happens. I've on occasion also clicked on the wrong post so my reply
is irrelevant and confusing. Do as I want, not as I do!

I use a stylus instead of a mouse because I get RSI.
It's the one serious problem with it - it's all too
easy for the thing to slip off what you're trying to
double click on! However it has absolutely saved my
life re RSI!
