Does anyone know how to do this. I am a beginner in Microsoft word 2007. I
have tried to find free software that will do this but I am only finding
shareware software. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Thank you for replying. I am glad to know that I wasn't the only one having
trouble finding freeware download for this.

I am trying to create my own templates by using the draw table feature. I
was able to create the template and save it as a web page. However, when i
upload the template to my hosting service the code is the xml code and not
the html code. I don't know how to change this to be able to view the html
code. I am a newbie as well I can't read the xml code very well. I was hoping
someone would have a link to a freeware add in that I could download into the
microsoft office 2007 and be able to save my templates with the html code
format. I appreciate you replying back to me. If you have anymore advice or
tips on this problem I would be more than happy to receive them.
Thanks
Shay

I have tried to filtered and I get the same results. I didn't realize that
word wasn't meant to be an html generator. I love the word because of the
draw tool and erase tool for the tables. I have been unable to locate a free
html generator with these tools. Do you know of one? If so I would love it if
you can send me the link.

Microsoft's Visual Web Developer (http://www.microsoft.com/express/
vwd/) which is free for personal use might be of interest to you for
web page development. The professional version which I use has a
"Table" menu where you can easily add/remove cells, columns and
subtables (very similar to Word). I'm guessing the same would be true
for the express edition but I haven't tried it.

Less work but also worth a shot might be HTML Tidy (http://
tidy.sourceforge.net/) which takes any HTML file and cleans it up. You
might want to use the file you saved as "Filtered" as input for the
program and see what it comes up with.

screen. Apparently, your hosting service isn't "Microsoft Word HTML-
friendly", so it's displaying the HTML codes it can't interpret as literal
text.

I might be missing something, but this sounds wrong to me.

I would think the hosting service only delivers the HTML file when
requested. It would be your browser (IE, FF, Opera, ...) which does
the actual interpreting.

Thank you for your help. Although, I tried to download the
Microsoft's Visual Web Developer I kept getting an error so I ended up
uninstalling it. I use firefox would that cause any problems with the html
code?
If you have any other editors that have the draw tool and erase tool I would
love to receive the links?
Thanks again.

Okay I thought that I had tried the web page filtered save option. But,
apparently I had not. LOL! I am such a blond. Anyways, I just tried to save
it this way and it did convert the text to the html so I can actually read
the code know. :) YEAH! Thank you Cindy and P0 for all of your help.
