I have Word files that have text, pictures, and clip art in them. When I
email thrm, they don't send intact. How do I get them over email without
disintegrating? Can I make them into jpeg or pdf files?

Texas Toni shared this with us in microsoft.public.word.docmanagement:

PDF: with a PDF "printer" like Adobe Acrobat (not Reader) or CutePDf or
PDF995 or... GIYF!

You would need third party software to send as a graphics file - SnagIt
(www.techsmith.com) provides the necessary drivers to save as jpg. For PDF,
you will need a third party PDF tool such as Acrobat or one of the cheaper
clones. Some suggestions are linked from the favourites page of my web site.

However, if you zip your word documents and post them as attachments they
should arrive intact, albeit there may be some formatting anomalies
attributable to the different printer drivers available.
