How do I convert imaged documents to word text? When I convert now, the
entire text within the document is shifted to the left of the page and header
info such as company logo is dropped to the bottom of the page. I'm using xp
office professional imaging software and sending the info to word.

The OCR function in Microsoft Office is rudimentary and cannot cope well
with complex documents. Use better OCR software such as Finereader, but note
that OCR will often make a dog's breakfast of formatting should you wish to
further edit the document.

Graham:
Thanks for your response. Shortly after I posted my question, I did a
search (imaging to word support). Microsoft support indicated the OCR tool
in Microsoft imaging does not retain text format styles in Word 2003. They
suggested using Scansoft software and a couple of others.
