How do i connect with contact that has status unknown beside name

I have been messaging this particular contact for some time now but as of
last week we haven't been able to communicate through messaging anymore.
Beside her name in my contact list it states...status unknown....and i know
for a fact she is online. How can this problem be fixed? Please help.

As for your question, perhaps it is time to move on. Relationships are hard,
especially Internet friendships. If she obfuscated her status, it was likely in
an attempt to hide from you. Sure, this hurts, but sooner or later you just
have to accept it ... you've lost her.

wrong answer Danny. If this were the case then she wouldn't continue to
email me then would she? We are just having problems with our im and needed
sincere help with the problem not snide comments from someone. As for wrong
newgroup, well when i proposed the question this is the area i was directed
to. Thanks
