How do I confirm a message has been sent in Outlook.?

When replying to a CraigsList ad, I'm immediately sent to Outlook. I type my
message in Outlook and hit "send." Today, I looked at my outbox folder and
it tells me that all 58 of the messages that I've sent this way have not been
read. This is most unlikely as I don't believe they've ever been sent. Does
anyone know how to resolve this? Thanks.

If they are sitting in your outbox, no, they haven't been sent.

Are you ever able to successfully send email? Have you verified your mail
server settings with your ISP?

If they have been sent they will show in your sent folder
If you have set outlook to request a read receipt they can be ignored or not
actually passed to the recipient

No, I haven't verified my mail settings with my ISP. I didn't realize I had
to; I can send and receive mail through my regular email box with no problem,
so I'm trying to figure out why I can't send mail out through Outlook when
prompted. Is there some setting in the Outlook toolbar or somewhere that has
to be activated or altered? Thanks for your reply.

If Outlook is running when you do this, it should send. If Outlook is not
running, then what you see will happen.
