I have 2 nics in my computer at work. I need to have outlook use one internet
connection and everything else use the other one. How do I do this?
It isn't possible to control which NIC is used based on what program
you're using.
You can control which NIC is used based on what IP addresses you're
accessing. To make Outlook use a particular NIC to access your
E-mail, you need to know the IP addresses of your E-mail provider's
incoming and outgoing mail servers. With that information, you can
define static routes to those servers.
If you company has an IT staff, I recommend consulting with them.
If not, then please reply to this message with the following
information:
1. IP address of your incoming E-mail server.
2. IP address of your outgoing E-mail server.
3. IP addresses and default gateways of your two NICs.
