How do I completely remove Outlook as default email handler?

I have a machine with Win2k Pro, Outlook 97, Outlook
Express 6, IE6.

I ran the msimn.exe /reg and it enables me to select
Outlook Express from IE. I did that. However when I go
to Microsoft Word or any other program that isn't IE it
still defaults to Outlook 97. Do I have to take 97 off
then reinstall? I'm confused on why it won't change
default on other programs other than the browser.

Run your Office 97 setup CD-ROM
Select Add\Remove Components
Remove Outlook 97, it was a pants piece of software anyway.
