How do I close a dialogue box to send email please?

I use AOL as my ISP and have just got MS Office. When I write an email using
outlook and click to send, I receive a message telling me that I need to
close a dialogue box first. What is a dialogue box and how do I close them?

Minimize all windows and look for a hidden smaller window hiding behind the
others. Close that one.
