how do I close a dialog in outlook

I am trying to send a e-mail from outlook express and when I qlick the send
buttom a message comes up "a dialog box is open close the dialog box and try
again. I have no idea where to start, so I could use your help

Start by asking in an Outlook Express newsgroup like
news://msnews.microsft.com/microsoft.public.outlookexpress.general . Try
closing windows on your screen until you perhaps see the dialogue box about
which OE is complaining.
