How do I clear document history from start menu?

That's the question. I have way too many documents come up when I hit the
file button from the start menu.
 
This is done via the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box; to
display it, right-click the taskbar and click Properties. The exact steps
depends on your version of Windows, and on how you configured your start
menu. You'll be able to get more detailed information in a Windows
newsgroup.
