I have 2 sets of data. I need to chart only one of them but I need to show
all (2 sets) data in the data table by using the data table function (chart
option - show data table). Is there anyone know how to do that in PowerPoint
2000?

What I would do is to create a separate PowerPoint table object and include the
data in it. For the chart I would choose to not show the data table.

Sonia's suggestion works for me. Or if you'd rather have the data linked to the
chart (so changing it once changes both the table and the chart), you could
create the table in Excel, make the chart there, then paste/link the chart and
the table text as two separate items into PPT.
