How do I change W2k drive letter at boot?

It's a long story, but I have two partitions w/ W2kPro on
my laptop. One boots, the other doesn't. The problem I
am having is that on the non-booting partition, W2k
assigns drive letter F:\ when booting. I need to make
this drive letter G:\.

How do I force W2k to assign the boot partition to drive
letter G:\ BEFORE I get to logon screen? I can edit
anything on the partition via the paralel install, but I
cannot get into windows to make the change.

Thanks!

Was the drive letter G: when the failing installation was installed?

In that case, this MS Knowledge Base article might help:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=223188

You will of course need to open the failing operating systems registry from
Regedt32 in the running one. MSKB 810897 has an explanation how to perform
this.

Best regards
