This is for a file that allows you to change owner. I am
alreadylisted as the owner, only operator and system administrator
when I check the user icon in the control panel. Please re-read my
question: " Now I am trying to install my Street Atlas software which
says WindowsXP capable. I get errors and the Atlas installation
instructions say to re-install using selective startup and clear all
options except System.ini. When I try to do this system says I must
be logged on as Administrator to do this. I am the system
administrator? If I just go ahead and re-start most programs are not
triggered but I am still not able to install Street Atlas correctly.
Can some one please explain how to log in as the system administrator
beyond being the only person on PC and already the administrator?"

Simply log in using the built-in Administrator account (which
cannot be deleted) and modify the desired account(s). By design, the
only way to log into the Administrator account of WinXP Home is to
reboot into Safe Mode. For WinXP Pro, pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at
the Welcome Screen will produce the standard login dialog box.

After trying all I could to get full access as administrator I
tried a different attack. I tried tech support for Street Atlas and
was surprised to find that the problem was not administrator control
(although I still do not understand the error comment) but that street
atlas needed to get two undated files from Microsoft to run with
WindowsXP. Downloaded the files and all is well. Thanks for your
support.
